Brett Johnson
Brett Johnson is currently in his
fifteenth year as band director at TWHS. Affectionately known as Mr.
J., Brett has won numerous awards for his leadership including the 2004
Texas Bandmasters Meritorious Achievement Award. Under his
leadership, The Woodlands Band has earned consistent UIL Sweepstakes Awards
and accomplishments including the following: competed at the state level
in the Texas State Honor Band process, has been a finalist at the State
Marching Band Contest, performed at The Texas State Wind Ensemble
Contest, marched in two Gubernatorial Inauguration Parades, performed at
the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, has been a Bands of
America Regional Finalist 21 consecutive times, has been named a
National Marching Band Contest Semi Finalist and Finalist, the 2006
National Class AAA Champion, awarded the
prestigious Sudler Flag and has had the honor of performing at the
Midwest Clinic in Chicago and Western International Band Clinic in
Seattle.
