Introducing the NEW TWHS Band Booster
Website!
We are pleased to present the brand new TWHS Band website! For the
next two weeks you may preview it at
www.twhsband.org. After that time, it will replace this current
website at www.twhsband.com. Important updates will be posted to both
sites during this transition period. Band Booster email is unaffected by
this change.
Many thanks to band mom Michelle de Rimanoczy for designing the
"Outstanding General Effect" of the new site! Please take some time to
explore all of the new features. We'd love to hear your feedback – Send
comments and suggestions to communications@twhsband.com. We ask for just
a bit of your patience during this two-week preview as we smooth out any
remaining rough edges.
Thank you and we hope you find the new website both useful and
entertaining. One more thing … GO BAND!

Florists Support the Band
Homecoming is just around the corner (October 9). Our band is fortunate to have the support of two area florists,
The Flower Market of the Woodlands (in the Portofino shopping center), and
Rainforest Flowers (I-45 near Sawdust). Please consider using these florists for your homecoming flower purchases. The Flower Market gives 15% of every purchase back to the band, and Rainforest Flowers gives back 10%. No coupons are required. Simply say “I’m with TWHS Band” and the band gets money! This deal applies for ANY flower purchases throughout the year (except for wire purchases), not just homecoming.

Pit Crew - Band Trailer Lighting Project
The Pit Crew has already been hard at work preparing for the marching season.
Read all about their latest
project here... And see the results at this Saturday's game (just look
for the glow from the parking lot).
Our fearless pit crew leader for the 2009 marching band season, Jim
"Eagle Scout" Wilke, is actively recruiting members for the pit crew. This
elite special-ops force is responsible for loading, unloading, and staging
band equipment at football games and marching band competitions. It also
conducts a secret mission code-named Prop Construction on a "weekend" to be
determined. Qualifications: A pulse and a "can do" attitude.

Question of the Day - Uniforms!
Do you find yourself wondering what it's like in the TWHS Marching Band
Uniform Room???
Do you ever wonder why the students are attracted like flies to this tiny
area of the high school?
Could it be the smell of freshly laundered uniforms????
Could it be the lure of a fresh bowl of tasty confections????
Could it be the sound of the "rockin" tunes that are played in the
background????
Could it be the Love & Attention they get from the Hip & Happenin' parents
that hang out there????
If you feel the need to find the answers to any of these questions and,
of course, be productive at the same time, we would love to have you join
us! Read more...
